Commanders!
Although the
V
Turán III prototípus
is part of the German tech tree, it is not your typical German tank. In fact, it is not German at all! This mid-tier medium tank was developed by the Hungarian Ministry of Defence after they deemed their current arsenal insufficient against the latest Soviet tanks. They concluded that the fastest and cheapest way to improve their armament was updating the already mass-produced 41M. Turán II. Therefore, a prototype with a long-barreled 75 mm 43.M gun and increased armor plating was developed–the Turán III prototípus. But it never actually went into production, because vehicle manufacturing in Hungary was halted by the summer of 1944.
The prototípus, nevertheless, made its way to World of Tanks, where it outperforms similar vehicles like the German Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H in terms of turret armor and survivability. Both of these advantages, combined with its gun performance, accuracy, gun depression, and narrow structure, underline this medium tank's support role on the battlefield. You won't be able to turn the tide on your own, but clever teamwork will lead to great success.
