How to Use Your XP and Credits

XP and credits makes the world go round in World of Tanks. Use them to transform your in-game experience—spend them wisely and get those new vehicles and upgrades you always dreamed of!

Vehicle Research (XP & Free XP)

Combat XP collected on a researchable vehicle is used to unlock the next vehicle in its Tech Tree line. Free XP can be added if the required XP amount is not met and can be used to research any standard Tech Tree vehicle.

Module Research (XP & Free XP)

Modules affect a vehicle's characteristics. They need to be researched with XP before they can be purchased. Combat XP collected on a researchable vehicle is used to unlock its modules. Free XP can be added if the required XP amount is not met and can be used to research any module.

Crew Training (Elite XP & Free XP)

Vehicles with Elite status have the option to accelerate crew training. Once enabled, XP earned in battles will not be accumulated but directly converted into Crew XP to improve major qualifications and train perks and skills. Free XP can be directly invested in the training of any crew member via their Personal File.

Experience Conversion (Elite XP to Free XP)

The accumulated experience on Elite and Premium vehicles can be converted into Free XP using gold. The default conversion rate is 25 XP to 25 Free XP for 1 gold, but this can change during specials.

Shells

Purchase regular or special shells of different types.

Repair

Fix damaged or destroyed vehicles. The cost depends on the vehicle type and tier.

Vehicles and Modules

Purchase vehicles and vehicle modules after researching them with XP.

Equipment

Equipment improves vehicle performance in a battle. Standard equipment can be purchased for credits.

Regimental School

Train and retrain your crew in Regimental School. Costs start from 20,000 credits per crew member.

Consumables

Consumables are various items that, for example, improve vehicle or crew characteristics or repair your vehicle in battle.

Rental Style

Spend 75,000 credits and rent a style that will last 100 battles. It can be renewed automatically.

Creating a Clan

Create your own clan and automatically become its Commander for 1,000,000 credits.

Harvest season is here, and that means it's time to gather heaps of XP and credits with simple, repeatable missions. Complete them during the Harvest Hours of 19:00 and 22:00 CEST (UTC+2) to finish the summer with a huge haul, and take advantage of the XP Fever special for even more riches!
