Rent Your Vehicle for Frontline 2021

Commanders!

The latest Season of Frontline is here! The popular game mode has returned with a lot of changes and a new set of rental vehicles. All of them are replicas of existing vehicles in the game with the same characteristics and properties, but they can only take on enemies in Frontline battles.

Whether your collection is short of suitable rides for the mode, or if you want to take the opportunity to try out a vehicle before purchasing it, there are more options available than ever before. Check out the list below and find your perfect tank to storm the battlefield in! All the rentals are available directly in-game via your Garage. Rental vehicles are offered with temporary slots and crews trained to 75%. You can transfer crew members to a rental vehicle of the same nation and type for free and without the need for retraining.

Don’t forget that renting will also grant you a nice discount on the final purchase price if you want to add the regular version to your permanent tank collection.

Free Rental Tanks

Progress through the Frontline Season to unlock two rental vehicles for free. The American medium tank and the British heavy tank are available at Frontline Tier 2 and Tier 5. Collect points and gain access to these excellent Tier IX tanks.

The Tier IX American medium tank is a jack-of-all-trades. Support your team with good DPM, decent turret armor, the mobility to get you around the battlefield, and a gun with excellent handling and average penetration for its class.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Ventilation, Gun Rammer, Vertical Stabilizer.

This setup will increase your potential damage per minute and the reliability of your gun for maximum brawling capabilities.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Snap Shot, Smooth Ride, Situational Awareness, Safe Stowage.

The Repair skill is always essential to avoid becoming a sitting duck. Then focus on increasing the gun reliability, view range, and ammo rack hit points.

The Conqueror FL is an excellent Tier IX British heavy tank equipped with an accurate and well-performing gun. The outstanding gun depression values make it quite versatile. Use hull-down tactics to hide behind ridges, which will also keep the forward-placed ammo rack out of the enemy's sights.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Hardening, Gun Rammer, Vertical Stabilizer.

A Gun Rammer is quite important, as the reload time isn't exceptionally high. While the accuracy is already very convenient, there is no such thing as too much stabilization.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Snap Shot, Smooth Ride, Safe Stowage.

The standard crew skills setup has Repair as the first choice. However, going for Safe Stowage first might be a good move because of the weak ammo rack.

Rental Tanks for Credits

One of the most significant changes to the Frontline mode is its expansion to Tier IX vehicles, allowing you to explore an entirely new set of rental tanks. Seven Tier IX vehicles are now available to rent for credits in-game.

Tier IX (available for 320,000)

A combination of high accuracy and decent armor makes this German medium tank a dangerous opponent, no matter the distance. Use one of the most precise guns in the game to take out enemies from a distance or rely on its ramming capabilities and crash into anyone who dares come close.

Recommended Equipment: Turbocharger, Gun Rammer, Vertical Stabilizer.

The Turbocharger will give your engine a nice boost, making ramming even more effective. The other equipment boosts gun performance.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Snap Shot, Controlled Impact, Situational Awareness, Safe Stowage.

A typical crew skills setup with one exception: Focus on Repair as the first choice, and then train the driver in Controlled Impact to boost your ramming capabilities.

The T-54 is a versatile Soviet medium tank with a 100 mm gun. It trades the hard punch of some of its peers for very high penetration with HEAT shells, decent armor on the hull, and well-angled turret armor. Use its good mobility with a top speed of 56 km/h to charge at your opponents without too much fear of their retaliation.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Ventilation, Gun Rammer, Vertical Stabilizer.

The recommended setup provides a nice boost to overall performance, but keep in mind that neither one of the two 100 mm guns is accurate enough to reliably hit enemy vehicles over long distances.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Snap Shot, Smooth Ride, Safe Stowage.

This is the standard crew skills setup with Sixth Sense and Repair as first choices. The other recommended skills will boost good qualities while mitigating weaknesses.

Take enemies head-on with this versatile French heavy tank. The AMX M4 mle. 51 boasts great frontal armor on the hull and turret, but beware of its weak sides. Side-scraping is not an option, so use its decent acceleration to quickly take the best spots and reliably deal damage with the 120 mm D.1203 armament.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Hardening, Gun Rammer, Vertical Stabilizer.

All three pieces of equipment mainly focus on increasing the stabilization and potential damage per minute of the gun.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Snap Shot, Smooth Ride, Situational Awareness, Safe Stowage.

This is the standard crew skills setup with Sixth Sense and Repair as first choices. The other recommended skills will boost good qualities while mitigating weaknesses.

The Chinese WZ-111 model 1-4 is surprisingly agile for a heavy tank with a top speed of 50 km/h and reasonably good mobility. It can be limited by its low gun depression and weak hull armor, but the sturdy turret, high penetration, and respectable 490 damage allows it to successfully trade shots.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Ventilation, Gun Rammer, Vertical Stabilizer.

This equipment will improve the rate of fire, which is especially important for the big 130 mm gun, and boost aiming time and reliability. These values contribute to you hitting more often while not having to expose yourself for that long.

The American T30 has, unlike most other tank destroyers, a fully rotatable turret. This makes it a flexible ambusher with a punchy 155 mm AT Gun T7 armament. Take hull-down positions and dish out 750 alpha damage. Not only is the turret rotatable, but it is also well-armored and no easy feat to overcome. On the other hand, the hull is the most prominent weak spot of the T30 and should be hidden behind cover whenever possible.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Rotation Mechanism, Gun Rammer, Improved Ventilation.

The recommended setup will boost the most important assets of the T30: the rotatable turret and the mighty gun.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Snap Shot, Smooth Ride, Situational Awareness, Safe Stowage, Intuition.

The Repair skill should always be the first choice, but a crew of six with two loaders leaves plenty of room to improve the formidable gun and compensate for some shortcomings.

The German Jagdtiger tank destroyer has one role on the battlefield: to cause damage. It's too big and too slow for scouting or flanking, so causing damage whenever possible is the main objective. Set a path, call allies to your side to protect them, and then use the 12.8 cm Pak L/66 gun with fantastic DPM, high penetration, and fast-flying shells to pound away at enemy HP.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Rotation Mechanism, Gun Rammer, Improved Ventilation.

Use the recommended equipment to put even more punch behind the gun and to compensate for the sluggishness of the Jagdtiger.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Designated Target, Off-Road Driving, Situational Awareness, Safe Stowage, Adrenaline Rush.

The Repair skill is crucial, as a Jagdtiger without tracks is an even bigger target. Any additional skills of the six crew members should aim to improve the overall performance and damage output.

The Swedish tank destroyer is the perfect sniper. It has a low profile with great camouflage values, over 2,700 DPM, excellent accuracy, and very fast shells. Hide in bushes and take out unsuspecting enemies from a distance, but keep in mind that recon planes and airstrikes can put a quick end to your cover—or you. Relocate often and always have an exit plan at hand.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Ventilation, Gun Rammer, Coated Optics.

Use equipment to boost your gun and spot enemies more easily.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Concealment, Adrenaline Rush, Situational Awareness.

Staying out of sight will keep you in the battle for longer, so train your crew in the art of concealment and sneakiness.

Tier VIII (available for 240,000)

But, of course, Tier VIII tanks have to pave the way before the big guns can enter the scene, which is why there are also three Tier VIII tanks available to test drive.

The American T32 heavy tank rolls out with a 400-meter view range, a very well-armored turret, and 10 degrees of gun depression. It's the perfect recipe to take advantage of ridges and sneak out from behind hills. Get close to your opponents and send them back to their Garage with over 2,000 DPM.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Ventilation, Gun Rammer, Vertical Stabilizer.

This setup will increase your potential damage per minute and the reliability of your gun for maximum brawling capabilities.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Snap Shot, Smooth Ride, Situational Awareness, Safe Stowage, Adrenaline Rush.

This is the standard crew skills setup with Sixth Sense and Repair as first choices. The other recommended skills will boost good qualities while mitigating weaknesses.

This Tier VIII medium tank is known for its mobility, good camouflage, and decent armor. A versatile mix that can be further customized with two guns. The 100 mm LB-1 is well-balanced overall and the right choice if you like the usual medium tank gameplay. The 122 mm D-25-44 is more specialized and packs a potent punch but lacks reliability. Push flanks with your team or fall back and support the defense.

Recommended Equipment: Enhanced Gun Laying Drive, Gun Rammer, Vertical Stabilizer.

Both the Gun Rammer and Gun Laying Drive will improve the performance of the armament, especially if you equip the 122 mm option.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Snap Shot, Smooth Ride, Safe Stowage.

Sixth Sense and Repair are a must, and Safe Storage is crucial, as well, due to the fragile ammo rack.

The Ferdinand has one of the highest amounts of HP among all tank destroyers of its tier. It is equipped with the reliable 12,8 cm Pak 44 L/55 with enough penetration to take out even better-armored opponents in 3 or 4 shots. Awareness of your surroundings is vital in this tank destroyer, as it lacks a turret. So stick with your team to have protection from enemy flanking maneuvers.

Recommended Equipment: Improved Ventilation, Gun Rammer, Improved Rotation Mechanics.

The Ferdinand is a good vehicle for the frontlines, and this set of equipment increases the rate of fire and gun performance even further.

Recommended Crew Skills: Sixth Sense, Repair, Designated Target, Off-Road Driving, Situational Awareness, Safe Stowage, Adrenaline Rush.

The Ferdinand is about getting up close and personal, so Repair is a must-have. If you find your tracks blown off, they need to be repaired quickly, or you risk getting destroyed fast without having a chance to fight back.

All rental vehicles are exclusively available for the Frontline mode—it’s not possible to enter Random Battles or any other mode with these tanks.
