The Battle of El Alamein was the most massive and stiffest battle of WWII in northern Africa, which took place October 23 – November 4, 1942 in El Alamein. Winston Churchill commented on that victory: "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end, but it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." And after WWII war, he said the following: "Before Alamein we never had a victory. After Alamein, we never had a defeat."
