This mode delivers an immersive sci-fi experience. Precision and speed take center stage. Your vehicle will benefit from advanced targeting and mobility, making every shot count in fast-paced engagements. This increases your chances of hitting visible opponents and enhances your tactical options.
Gun dispersion at 100 m is reduced by 70%.
Dispersion during turret traverse and vehicle movement and traverse is decreased by 50%.
Aiming time is decreased by 50%.
Engine power is increased by 100%.
Proximity spotting range is increased to 445 meters.
The damage spread in the standard rules of WoT is a modest ±25%, which is certainly enough to stir up some emotions. But what if we crank it up (or down) a bit? In Element of Surprise, the damage spread is ±75%, and you get a much bigger chance of extremely low or extremely high damage values. With extreme damage variability and boosted reload speeds, every shot brings an element of risk and reward.

Each Stage offers valuable rewards (including random rewards), which may include credits, days of WoT Premium Account, and more.
After finishing the Main Progression, you unlock a Post-Progression with unlimited Stages. Each completed Stage grants credits and a random reward from a predetermined list. Enjoy the mode and stockpile more and more rewards in your vault!
Although Element of Surprise and Railgun have different battle modifiers, their key rules are the same:
Battles. Battles are played in a 15v15 format under Random Battles rules in Tier V and VI vehicles.
Platoons Allowed. You may play in Platoons if you wish. Platoon bonuses apply, so team up for additional benefits.
Mission Progression. Element of Surprise and Railgun battles do not contribute to daily missions or Personal Missions, but they do count toward the mode progression.
XP and Credits Earned. You'll receive XP and credits for battles, which ensures you can progress and earn rewards while playing.
Reserves Available. You can use all types of regular reserves, including Personal and Clan reserves.
Consumables Unrestricted. All types of consumables are available for use during the event.
First Victory Bonus. XP multipliers for the first victory of the day are applied, helping you maximize your progress.
Credits Reserve. Credit earnings will be added to the vault as usual.
Bonds Limitation. Element of Surprise and Railgun battles do not grant bonds, except through event progression rewards listed below.
Select Arcade Cabinet from the menu to the right of the "Battle!" button in your Garage. When hovering over the mode button, you'll see a description of the combat modifiers to be applied in battle. Prepare for something completely different!
