I salute you, tank commanders,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mohamed Fadl and I am the Head of Community for Wargaming Europe. Wargaming created their European headquarters in Paris in November 2011 and started to take over the European duties from our Headquarters in Minsk.
Let me tell you a bit more about myself and our goals here in Europe. I started in the gaming industry seven years ago with Blizzard Entertainment in Paris where I worked in different departments, starting with the Customer Support department over to the Account department till being the treasurer of the work council. After gaining several years of experience with Blizzard Entertainment, I moved on to new adventures. Following a brief period working in China, I joined the UK office of NCsoft, where I continued to work for the next two years as the German Community Manager and afterwards as the Head of Community.
I was already playing World of Tanks during the Beta and got hooked immediately. So, when I heard that the company behind WoT was about to open an office in Europe, I immediately became interested. And so, here I am now, doing what I knew I was destined to do.
Enough about me, let’s talk business:
We recruited a highly dedicated and passionate team. Our newly formed community team in Europe supports several languages (French, English, Polish, Czech, Spanish and German) and our main goal is to deliver the service, support, content and entertainment, which every member of the Wargaming community deserves. Our goals are to understand the needs of the community and provide your feedback to the developers, so they make World of Tanks the game you love and want to play.
That’s not it!
We have a fully packed plan for the coming year, which includes many contests, raffles, events and specials.
We started to do this with the New Year’s Contest and we were overwhelmed by the amount of participants. We can promise you that this contest was just the beginning. Many other in-game action with us will follow.
The team is working at this very moment on a schedule to get the chance to meet you in person in the big cities all over Europe. So you can sit down with us and tell us your thoughts and share ideas.
Furthermore, our European team now also has an army specialist, who served for over 29 years in the British Army as a Tank Commander and participated in countless wars. He is our new tank expert. His knowledge and years of experience will provide us with valuable insight and help us to enhance the work we do.
We have big plans for the year 2012, and with your support we will make amazing things happen.
Without further ado, let me introduce you to your European community team!
