Lorraine 40 t - Back to Be Better!

Some of you may remember this warrior from the days of yore, when it was the Tier IX gatekeeper to the incredible Bat Chat 25 t. At one point, the vehicle was relieved of its duties and honourably discharged. However, retirement proved not to be the ultimate fate of this battle-hardened veteran: it was rebalanced, readjusted to Tier VIII and is now back for more action as a Premium tank!

Lorraine 40 t: About the Tank

The vehicle underwent some major changes before we decided to roll it back out onto the battlefield. Here's a handy summary about what the new Lorraine can do and what you can expect:

• First Tier VIII premium vehicle with magazine loading system. This type of loading system allows for dealing huge amounts of damage in a short period of time. The fans of vehicles with magazine loading systems will appreciate this medium tank for the familiar playing style. On the other hand, the less experienced players can use the Lorraine 40 t to learn the basics of playing autoloaders.
• Mobility. This medium tank drives pretty fast on a battlefield. The combination of excellent mobility and high firepower of the gun makes the Lorraine 40 t a perfect support vehicle.
• High penetration of the standard shell. The Lorraine 40 t shows the highest penetration characteristics among all premium Tier VIII medium tanks—232 mm. This tank can successfully fight against both Tier VIII and other vehicles of higher tiers.
• Decent gun depression/elevation angles. The -8 depression/elevation angle allows for hull-down tactics, such as shooting from the back slope of a hill, which increase your tank's survivability.
• Crew Training. The Lorraine 40 t crew can be transferred to the Bat.-Châtillon 25 t medium tank. Now, playing in Lorraine 40 t allows for effective training of the crew for the crown jewel of the French medium tank line.
• Weak armour. In other words, the tank has no armour at all. That is why the Lorraine 40 t requires your utmost care when playing and planning all actions in advance. Caution and situational awareness are crucial for survival.
• Large dimensions. In addition to weak armour, Lorraine 40 t has pretty large dimensions, making this medium tank a pretty easy target to hit. Try to use its gun depression/elevation angles and stay away from enemy fire.

Exclusive Camouflage

Lorraine 40 t comes together with three exclusive camouflage patterns, fit for every map type. These patterns cannot be obtained normally or applied on any other vehicle. 

Having gathered your feedback in regard to the Patriot and Liberté, this time we have decided to make the custom camouflage optional: this means that it is completely up to you if you want to apply it or not - the patterns will remain available in the Exterior menu, next to the standard ones available for other French vehicles, and can be applied/ removed at will.
